Favorite Foods...Sunday

Favorite Food Fridays Sunday

I've been making NO-BAKE cheesecakes for what feels like forever.

I've made coffee ones, fruity ones, ones with candy.. I love them all

This week I made one.

If you like Pineapple and Blueberries you will like this one.

I made a enough for a pie but put them in these cute little cups...ok ok shot glasses.

2 packages of cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar (can add/remove to taste)
1 table spoon of Lime Juice (can add more to taste)
1 7oz drained can of crushed Pineapple
1/2 tube of chilled whipped topping
1 graham cracker crust
handful of blueberries and a sprinkle of coconut

In large mixing bowl mix cream cheese and sugar. mix in the Lime Juice and drained Pineapple. fold in the whipped topping

pour mixture in the pie crust , sprinkle the blueberries and coconut, and enjoy... That Easy. Just a bunch of mixing.

I'm not a huge fan of whipped topping on top of pies, but you can add the other half of yours to the top.

Sunday at my moms- High Springs Photography

On Sunday I headed to my moms to hang out there. It had been weeks since we last seen each other. We don't live far from each other, but we are on two totally different schedules.

It was kind of just a lazy day... Well, after they had to take an emergency trip to the hardware store after a dishwasher mishap.

My mom and step dad are VERY much into the whole back porch sitting thing. I mean its not a classic southern porch with rocking chair or anything (just a white screened in porch with patio furniture) but to them, its all the same and they love it. So allot of the time is spent out there when I am over there.

After a little while dinner started and we had REALLLLY good fish (not sure what it was marinated on) and veggies.

Being in a family full of people who likes to take pictures, there isn't an eye leash blinked or a second thought when your taking pictures of the food when its being made.
Its more like " wanna get this before I move it" Why yes, yes I don't. Thank you.

Here is a few pictures from my lazy day at moms

Here's that yummy fish and the chef for the night!!!

Details- The Ring

One of the things I LOVE about wedding photography (one of many) are the detail shots.

I can look at them all day long...and sometimes I actually do. :-)

Whether the feel is vintage or uber modern, there is just something I love.  (I'm more of a vintage girl myself)

Wedding photographers could not be the story tellers that they are with out them. One little detail captured in camera can say 1000 words that the bride was trying to express. An old bracelet passed down from a grandmother. Something borrowed from the best friend. With out all of the details, there would not be the fairytale that we are writing.

I just love them.

Here are a few ring shots that I got while testing lighting and such.  I couldn't decide which ones I wanted to post, so I'll post a few and add the rest to another post in a few days.

Hope you enjoy.
For the dog lovers

(psst, its on a frisbee ;-)

For the crafty bride!!

Inspiration- color

This weeks color inspiration goes by many names... Purple, Plum, Violet, so on and so on.

I LOVE purple. Its flattering, regal, modern, or classic. So many reasons to love Purple.

A co-worker of mine has a little joke where if we see someone wearing Purple we sneak around ( and I mean sneak, creeping around corner and such:-) and look for someone else because " if someone is wearing Purple there is at least 2 others" because why not? Its feminine and just can go masculine. Guys wear Purple because well, for one, its looks good on them and to its not PINK. :-)

photo found on google... as always :-)

Favorite Food Fridays

Favorite Food Fridays back again. Or in todays case Favorite Foods.

Lets see.

This week I ate out a few times but... There was one dish I just kinda of made up, so I will pick that one.

I really wanted pizza. But, I didn't have all the items to make it, so I had to improvise. (because I LOVE pizza and will do almost anything to eat it :-)

1 can large biscuits
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 pack of pre-cut pepperoni slices (I used turkey)

I cut the biscuits in half (in 4 would be a good idea too)
placed in a 9x13 baking pan
topped off with the pepperoni and spaghetti sauce

I cooked based on the biscuits package and added 5 minutes. (not sure why I did that. I guess I was thinking that the biscuit directions are not for biscuits sitting in liquid)

Once done, add your favorite pizza toppings (Parmesan cheese for me :-) and enjoy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also wanted to add one of my go to snacks this week. I LOVE yogurt. love love love it. But when I  want to be healthy about it I "try" to eat the Greek style kind. ga'ross. I've tried many flavors. No luck.
So, while at the grocery store the other day, I came across a brand that I had not tried, which was on sale.. HELLO SALE. It was a BOGO or 10 for 10 or something like that. So I grabbed a few, crossed my fingers, and went home.

Turns out I loved it!!! The taste and texture was kind of a mix between regular "American" yogurt and Greek but made in Canada.

My all time go to flavors (with any brand) is Coconut or Pineapple.

Inspiration- Theme

You would think being the 4th and all my today's inspiration would be more festive.

NOT!! (yes I just reverted back to my 10 year old self :-)

I opted to put something up that really inspires me- CREATIVITY

If I were to ever get hitched and one day I hope I do. I think I just might have a themed wedding!!!

Themes come in all shapes and sizes. Colors, objects, movies.... the list is endless.

This weeks inspiration is inspired by one of my favorite.... styles? Not sure how to explain it really.

And although I do not dress or decorate in this fashion I LOVE IT. Old world meets new age. So creative and inspiring. I love when people are not afraid to be themselves, and dress the way they want.

If I were to get married I think I want to do it in....

STEAMPUNK!!

ohhh the things I could wear, make, Cherish, PHOTOGRAPH...
all images were found on google. I would suggest you do the same if you are trying to find some inspiration. so many great ideas out there.

Enjoy some eye candy

Favorite Food Fridays

(edit) I was so tired last night I thought I posted this sorry)

Its been crazy here this week in Florida.

LOTS of rain and LOTS of flooding

wish I could say LOTS of SLEEP but I cant. Sorry for the lack of blog post but I will make up for it next week so consider yourself warned.
The other night the nice shade tree that I park under and shade part of my apartment fall...yep fell. And you know the saying " If a tree fell in the woods would you hear it" or something like that... The answer is NO. well, unless if broke and made a loud noise.

The one in front of my apartment just fell. It didn't break, so I almost didn't even look outside.

Luckily it didn't hit my car. It was weird, where I parked and how it fell the branches went around the car. Hit and smashed my neighbors though.

Sooooo with that being said. What did I eat this week?

Mmm all kinds of goodness. What I ate allot of is what I picked for this weeks Favorite Food. Again like my baked veggies. Its sliced and green and baked and sprinkled with goodness.

UN- Fried Green Tomatoes

They are not fried. I baked them.

I used my mandolin and cut them about 1/4 inch thick
Sprinkled parmesan on the pan
placed the tomato slices and then sprinkled them again with parmesan.
baked at 400 for about 15-20 min's or until golden brown

*The parmesan acted as the crust and since its already salty I didn't add any extra.
*I wouldn't go much thicker then 1/4 inch as the cheese will burn before the tomatoes are ready
