Fall Mini's part one - Meryl

Meryl and was one of my first to shoot when I got to Vegas. I held mini sessions and MY FAVORITE PARK. Sunset Park puts any park I have ever been to in Florida to Shame. It was so nice walking around and get amazing photos of them and a few for of modeling port.

Bella - Baby

Oh so Sweet baby Bella. 1 month new :-)

Sweet little thing tried so hard to do our session but we had to cut it short because she wasn't feeling well. Glad she is feeling better now and although we didn't get the shoots we were looking for, we still got a few memories to cherish for years to come.

Jill Maternity

I had the pleasure to meet Jill at her home for her Maternity shoot and had so much fun playing with different looks. And how gorgeous was she LOVE. And of course I love that she was totally game to play and we had got some great shoots.

The Brooks

I mean... I mean... how am I always so lucky to get people so in love AND Celina and Van you guys can work it (snap)  :-) I couldn't wait for their session. We were going for a more fashion/model feel. A little bit out of my comfort but hey, when you have fun open clients you run for it.!!

I also cant believe that I am starting to have a little love affair with the Southside of Jax. Both times that I have had the Pleasure to shoot a session in Jacksonville has been around the corner from each other. Coincidence or serendipity?

Here are a few of my favorites from our session AND lets all give a little love for their upcoming first anniversary next month!!

Harringtons - mommy and me :-)

"A mothers Loved is like no other, a gentle hand that guides in the dark and sweet voice with life's wisdoms"

I had and idea... I know, that could be good or bad :-) But I really wanted to shoot a mother and daughter. Sometimes moms, are put on the back burner and never showcased. Its always about there babies. Whether the babies are 6 months 16 or 60 :-) And unfortunately they miss out a lot of times in being in the photos since thy are the ones taking them half the time.

SOOO I finally got to shoot and mom and her daughter, these are photos that they will have forever. And to me they is a gift in itself.

I hope to have more soon and hope you enjoy them. I know I had a blast taken then and it was fun getting some of Crystal with her grand fathers flag.

Paint party

Marti contacted me about having a fun session with the girls in her family. Her, Rylee her daughter, her mom, her grandma, and her sister.
After much thought.. ( I mean, what can a 2 year old and grandma both like to do right?) I came up with some options for her and we went with a paint party.

It was so much fun to hang out with 4 generations of beautiful ladies. And of course it would not be a typical KKP shoot with out a little rain delay. But the sun came out just in time for us, and stayed all the way to the messy end :-)

*side note-- Lets give a hand to Blaine (Marti's hubby) for making a few of the easels used

Jennifer and Chris - Baby bump

How adorable are these two.

Don't let the little belly fool you, Jennifer is due in a few weeks. :-)

So a few weekends ago Jennifer and Chris meet me at one of my favorite places to shoot in High Springs. For about a month out of the year the field is FULL of flowers. So dreamy. And since it was a few weekends ago we beat the summer heat... now the gnats didn't get the memo about not be invited but it was still a super fun session and cant wait to see the baby soon.

Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy.

Galina - Graduation

If it's going to rain during and ENTIRE session. You will want it to be with Galina, Evan and their parents.

Galina wanted photos taken the day of graduation, YAY Congratulations!! Her parents can in from Russia and Evans (Galina's man squeeze) can in from new York. BUT it rained THE WHOLE TIME.

Everyone was so sweet and didn't let it faze them at all, and we got some really cute photos from it.

Here are a few of my favorite and I hope one day that we get to shoot again... but when its sunny :-)

what to wear maternity

Hey guys and gals. This is my second attempt at giving you some ideas as to what to wear for sessions. I can barely dress myself much less help others so I hope this can help. :-)

This blog post is geared for the mother to be. I'm starting to have more and more inquiries for maternity sessions. I know from past experience with friends and family that it is hard to find cute and nice fitting clothes while pregnant. so I hope this helps.

If you are looking at these and not pregnant the rules are the same.
1) keep it simple
2) no loud patterns
3) when in doubt just coordinate your colors. (don't have you and/or families outfits all one color)
4) nothing to tight or to loose
5) try not wear the same color as your surroundings. example; if you are outside in a grassy area dont wear green, if you are near lot of blue, don't wear blue... you will blend in. :-)

6) STIRPS... if you most, make them small and not to contrasty. example dark blue and white stripes will make you dizzy when looking at photos. Its weird. I don't want my photos to make you sick to your stomach. :-)
Feel free to click on the photos to take you to polyvore where you can see more details about the clothes.

I found Oldnavy/Gap, Mothercare, and Nelly to have some of my faves at a good prices.

Enjoy

Ps. you can see my love for flats. Plus I know your not "suppose" to wear heels. Most of these outfits can be replaced with heels/wedges if you feel the need.

Adri and Rudy Pregnancy Announcement

Oh my gosh how Freaking cute are these two?? I MEAN.

Adrianne contacted me with a surprise :-) she wanted to announce to her friends and family that are not in town for her expecting arrival. I loved the idea, and I couldn't wait to photograph her and Rudy and I most defiantly can not waitto find out what she is having. They are going to be an amazing loving family and I cant wait to be part of it as a friend and capture the moments as a photographer.

We have a fun time at a local Gainesville park one morning trying to catch the sunrise (kinda missed it but still had a blast)

Tracy and David Engagement

A cute family, beautiful sunset, and sweet couple I could not have it any better.

Tracy and David are getting married next weekend on a family farm. Decorated in a classic rustic theme, this wedding is going to to be absolutely breath taking. Its going to be around sunset and if you follow me. You know I LOVE SUNSETS.

I drove up to Glen St Mary two weekends ago to do the engagement session. The kids were there so we got a couple  them and  got a tour what the place and a nearby river. So pretty.

I cant wait till next weekend. Here are just a few of the my favorites to get everyone by till then :-)

What to Wear for photos part one - couples and family

Its about time I post a "what to wear" blog post right? yep I thought so.

So this is part #1.
I will do another one for the ladies because it seems to be that the ladies are the ones that are really wanting to know what to wear. :-) (reason to shop? hehe)

I had a brilliant idea that I was going to use the site Polyvore to "simply" create a few outfits to show you and I would be done and be on my way. HA!!

There was waaaaaayyyyy to many options. GESH and to be honest I could only find a few mens clothes

SO, I did what anyone else would do . GOOGLE. found some that I liked and linked them back here.

*** these are just for suggestions and to give the visual people something to look at. :-) I know I like to see what things will look like and I know allot of others do too.
So of course with these you can change and put in your favorite colors and patterns. Have fun with it and just be the best of yourself.

I want to give a shout out to all the people that take the time to do these. Its hard and time consuming.

If you want to know more about the outfits click on the photos and it will take you to Polyvore :-)

Have a great weekend everyone

*** notice there are no LOUD patterns or logos (distracting)
*** notice there are no real baggy or to tight options (you want to look put together)
*** notice there are no thin stripes (will make you dizzy)
*** and notice that the colors coordinate but are not to matchy matchy. (the 90s called they want there all white shirts back)
