What to Wear for photos part one - couples and family

Its about time I post a "what to wear" blog post right? yep I thought so.

So this is part #1.
I will do another one for the ladies because it seems to be that the ladies are the ones that are really wanting to know what to wear. :-) (reason to shop? hehe)

I had a brilliant idea that I was going to use the site Polyvore to "simply" create a few outfits to show you and I would be done and be on my way. HA!!

There was waaaaaayyyyy to many options. GESH and to be honest I could only find a few mens clothes

SO, I did what anyone else would do . GOOGLE. found some that I liked and linked them back here.

*** these are just for suggestions and to give the visual people something to look at. :-) I know I like to see what things will look like and I know allot of others do too.
So of course with these you can change and put in your favorite colors and patterns. Have fun with it and just be the best of yourself.

I want to give a shout out to all the people that take the time to do these. Its hard and time consuming.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with these two beauties for a mommy and me session portrait lifestyle session.

I've known Chrystie for years. We use to run in the same circles.... run in the same circles? who says that my grandpa?.. Anyways you know what I mean. :-)

But this was my first time meeting Audrey. And boy she is a lil cutie with great energy.

Again, thank you Chrystie for taking your time and hanging out with me for a little while. It was so much fun. I cant wait for our next session :-)

personal- These are a few of my favorite things

I have missed all you blog readers. I have been BUSY. In a good way.

Not all of you know that I work a full time job and run my photography business, so some weeks are a little crazier then others but I would not trade it in for the world.

I finally feel alive and awake for the first time in a long time (wellll, when I am not lacking sleep :-) and knowing that I started following my dream and stop putting it off at the right time.

So here's to a great start of the year and looking forward to the next couple of months to see where they take me :-)

And as always THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your support in my small and growing business.

Portrait Headshots

A while back I did a day of headshots mini session for local models in my area. Whoa!! Boy it was a long day. But man I had fun. I wish I alloted for the sessions to be longer so I could hang out with each one of them longer.

We meet in Downtown Gainesville and just had so much fun walking around and shooting.

I've been putting off the blog for 1) I've had next to know time to get it ready. and 2) since its not something I market to I didn't think anyone wanted to see them, but I can resist any longer. :-)

Styled Portrait/wedding session - Gainesville Florida

I had the opportunity to photograph Ann a few weekends ago for part of a styled "bridal" session.
She's gorgeous and has hidden talent to be a model... no joke. she rocked it. Even in hurricane winds :-)

I've known Ann for.... a long time. Lets just say back in our wild and woolly days. I'm so glad she came and modeled for me because I had so much fun photographing her and my little styled shoot that I put together and meeting her better half Mark.

My vision was classic mixed with old. When I first laid eyes on these old Glass bottles I HAD TO HAVE THEM.. So thanks to my sister and a trip to the antique mall, my little vision came together.

Josi and Bucky - Gainesville lifestyle portrait photographer

How stinking cute are these two? I loved spending the morning with them on that cold rainy day. We planned on have a early morning sunrise session in a field down the road from their house. Mother nature had other plans. But rain or shine we still meet early one Sunday morning and we just kept the session at there house.

Here are just a few of my favorites to tell the story of our rainy day walk in the wood and of course what everyone wants to see... THE PILLOW FIGHT!!

Hillary and Jake - Wedding

Have you ever seen a black and white photo and then couldn't un-see it that way? What about a whole wedding? BOLD I know. Hillary and Jake have already seen their wedding photos in color (and it was a beautiful color wedding :-) and as I was making this blog post I couldn't decide wish ones I wanted to show black and white... because they ALL looked good that way...
