Alex and Zach- couples session

Does anyone else have the urge to sing "Alex and Zach sitting on in a tree..." :-)

These two, what can I say. Adorable, super sweet, and so loving. It was an absolute pleasure to photographer them in their couples session.

We meet at my new favorite place ( I know I know I am starting to have a lot of those :-). With totally trust they let me pick an empty lot next to a strip mall and apartment complex.... YES. Living in a city you have to get creative. AND I LOVE a hidden gem of a location.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Paint party

Marti contacted me about having a fun session with the girls in her family. Her, Rylee her daughter, her mom, her grandma, and her sister.
After much thought.. ( I mean, what can a 2 year old and grandma both like to do right?) I came up with some options for her and we went with a paint party.

It was so much fun to hang out with 4 generations of beautiful ladies. And of course it would not be a typical KKP shoot with out a little rain delay. But the sun came out just in time for us, and stayed all the way to the messy end :-)

*side note-- Lets give a hand to Blaine (Marti's hubby) for making a few of the easels used

Jennifer and Chris - Baby bump

How adorable are these two.

Don't let the little belly fool you, Jennifer is due in a few weeks. :-)

So a few weekends ago Jennifer and Chris meet me at one of my favorite places to shoot in High Springs. For about a month out of the year the field is FULL of flowers. So dreamy. And since it was a few weekends ago we beat the summer heat... now the gnats didn't get the memo about not be invited but it was still a super fun session and cant wait to see the baby soon.

Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy.

Boggs wedding

update-- PLEASE VISIT MY NEW BLOG at www.sweetamorephotography.blogspot.com

When Tracy contacted me and gave me the details of her wedding. I know it was meant to be for us to work together. Her vision was something to see and her passion was infectious.

Even in the rain her and David's wedding was filled with old fashioned charm and details to make anyone envious. It might not have gone 100% to plan but when it come to the love they have, the showers will pass and love will stay.

So glad I got to be part of their big day. You can see their engagement session here :-)

Are you ready for summer?

As I was working on sessions and thinking about other ones that I have planned out, I realized that 4 out of the last 6 sessions I had was raining or had to be rescheduled for raining. UGH I hate Florida. :-)
I Live in North Florida and I think on Average it rains about 3 times a week. AND Its now Hurricane season. I'm crossing my fingers for "slow" season this year and that everyone's sessions are just as fabulous so we hope. I don't know how people can live in the Pacific north west (Seattle, Portland)
Of course all of this rainy weather only makes me more and more ready for my trip across the country, but then again when I'm in Cali/Vegas. I will be trading rain for sand. :-) everywhere has something to deal with I guess. :-)

So tell me, which would you prefer? Rain or Sand?

And since every post is prettier with a picture. Here is a photo from the Boggs wedding that I am working on the blog post for. Enjoy

Have a great week guys.

Galina - Graduation

If it's going to rain during and ENTIRE session. You will want it to be with Galina, Evan and their parents.

Galina wanted photos taken the day of graduation, YAY Congratulations!! Her parents can in from Russia and Evans (Galina's man squeeze) can in from new York. BUT it rained THE WHOLE TIME.

Everyone was so sweet and didn't let it faze them at all, and we got some really cute photos from it.

Here are a few of my favorite and I hope one day that we get to shoot again... but when its sunny :-)

what to wear maternity

Hey guys and gals. This is my second attempt at giving you some ideas as to what to wear for sessions. I can barely dress myself much less help others so I hope this can help. :-)

This blog post is geared for the mother to be. I'm starting to have more and more inquiries for maternity sessions. I know from past experience with friends and family that it is hard to find cute and nice fitting clothes while pregnant. so I hope this helps.

If you are looking at these and not pregnant the rules are the same.
1) keep it simple
2) no loud patterns
3) when in doubt just coordinate your colors. (don't have you and/or families outfits all one color)
4) nothing to tight or to loose
5) try not wear the same color as your surroundings. example; if you are outside in a grassy area dont wear green, if you are near lot of blue, don't wear blue... you will blend in. :-)

6) STIRPS... if you most, make them small and not to contrasty. example dark blue and white stripes will make you dizzy when looking at photos. Its weird. I don't want my photos to make you sick to your stomach. :-)
Feel free to click on the photos to take you to polyvore where you can see more details about the clothes.

I found Oldnavy/Gap, Mothercare, and Nelly to have some of my faves at a good prices.

Enjoy

Ps. you can see my love for flats. Plus I know your not "suppose" to wear heels. Most of these outfits can be replaced with heels/wedges if you feel the need.
