I don't know how I can be so lucky to always photography such easy going people. One reason why I love what I do.
Becky was so so nice and easy going and funny. I loved hanging out with her and playing while getting some really good headshots and portraits.

Headshots
I hope everyone is having a great Monday!! Sorry for a long worded post to promote a special but its all good info that explains :-) Feel free to scroll till you see the bold letters if you don't want the back story :-)
One thing that not a lot of people know or remember about me is that I use to want to act.
I was serious about it. Even still I find myself practicing lines and critiquing performances I see and say to myself "I would have done.. (act out) "
In retrospect, as a creative person, I just really didn't know what I wanted to do. Like a lot of people... I would still love to dabble in it, but I have found my passion in photography, which makes since now to me because I have had a camera in my hand since I can remember. I use to use my "allowance" to buy film for my point in shoot instead of using it for food or gas.
So with that being said, I am excited to announce that I will now be offering Headshots packages. I previously have been doing them in my portrait packages with families and engagements.
Not sure what took me so long to ad the line of business. Partly because growing up in Gainesville there is not a need for them all that much. I am so excited to finally combine two or my passions and loves into one and help those that I use to be.
So to kick things off, when I move next month. I am setting up a HEADSOT SHOOT OUT in Los Angeles!!
Basically, A whole bunch of mini sessions all done in one day. About ten of them, so time slots are very limited. I will be having two of these shoot outs. One in October and one in November. Dates may be extended to two days each month with enough interest
Depending on how well received, I am thinking about doing them every quarter. If not I will still be offering them as a service with various package deals.
This is for my Los Angeles and Las Vegas Market
Whether it's you that need headshots or know someone that does, please share the love and let them know.
This is a great opportunity for actors that are on a budget and low on time.
I am doing the shootout for a number of reasons.
1) Mainly, to help my fellow starving artists and build to my headshot line.
2) And of course, meet and connect with people in a new area. I know a lot of people in LA and Vegas have moved there for a dream and trying to find connections and other people that understand their dream and the business. Lets help each other.
Please be on the look out for my new web site and Facebook page devoted to just headshots. :-)

I am not sure if this is considered a minimum or not but, do to the limited space and time slots a $20 deposit is required. That is the cost of one photo. So technically there is a one photo minimum. I know its pretty obvious that if you are getting headshots done that you would at least need one. I would actually say on average four is minimum but I am trying to help people that might not be able to buy them all... I need serious inquires only and if you don't actually need headshots (at least one) this is a way for me to not fill a spot with someone just looking to cash in on a deal. Sorry to be Blunt but that's the long and short of it.

Harringtons - mommy and me :-)
"A mothers Loved is like no other, a gentle hand that guides in the dark and sweet voice with life's wisdoms"
I had and idea... I know, that could be good or bad :-) But I really wanted to shoot a mother and daughter. Sometimes moms, are put on the back burner and never showcased. Its always about there babies. Whether the babies are 6 months 16 or 60 :-) And unfortunately they miss out a lot of times in being in the photos since thy are the ones taking them half the time.
SOOO I finally got to shoot and mom and her daughter, these are photos that they will have forever. And to me they is a gift in itself.
I hope to have more soon and hope you enjoy them. I know I had a blast taken then and it was fun getting some of Crystal with her grand fathers flag.

Alex and Zach- couples session
Does anyone else have the urge to sing "Alex and Zach sitting on in a tree..." :-)
These two, what can I say. Adorable, super sweet, and so loving. It was an absolute pleasure to photographer them in their couples session.
We meet at my new favorite place ( I know I know I am starting to have a lot of those :-). With totally trust they let me pick an empty lot next to a strip mall and apartment complex.... YES. Living in a city you have to get creative. AND I LOVE a hidden gem of a location.
Here are a few of my favorites.

Paint party
Marti contacted me about having a fun session with the girls in her family. Her, Rylee her daughter, her mom, her grandma, and her sister.
After much thought.. ( I mean, what can a 2 year old and grandma both like to do right?) I came up with some options for her and we went with a paint party.
It was so much fun to hang out with 4 generations of beautiful ladies. And of course it would not be a typical KKP shoot with out a little rain delay. But the sun came out just in time for us, and stayed all the way to the messy end :-)
*side note-- Lets give a hand to Blaine (Marti's hubby) for making a few of the easels used
